Hello and welcome to my website!

I am a Textile Artist in the Blue Mountains, Australia. As I came from an artistic background, I have tried my hand at many media but now have finally found my happy place using wool felt.

The fact that it can range from transparent to tough as old boots gives me a wide scope for creating dynamic shapes. Add to that a rich array of colours and textures, the possibilities are endless.

I am mostly drawn to sculptural forms but also like to reference the deep associations embedded in this ancient medium of comfort, warmth and protection. My current interest is in exploring the possibilities of combining felt with light.

As well as making, I also like to champion Textiles as a medium through writing, interviewing and curating. Having trained as a teacher, I of course love teaching felt-making to children and adults alike.
